Tomlinson, Farry Announce Grant Funding Secured for Multiple Area Projects

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG – Rep. K.C. Tomlinson (R-Bucks) and Sen. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) today announced that projects in their shared communities have been awarded funding from the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Greenway, Trails and Recreation Program.

The projects that received LSA grant funding are as follows:
- Bensalem Township will receive a $679,709 grant to replace poles and light fixtures at the Bensalem Ramblers baseball and softball fields at Robert Yezzi Memorial Park.
- The Bucks County Redevelopment Authority, on behalf of Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, will receive a $500,000 grant for a campus lighting project.

The project receiving DCED grant funding is:

- Hulmeville Borough will receive a $189,480 grant to construct a walking and jogging trail, a small ball field, a basketball court, and a picnic pavilion at Hulmeville Borough Hall Park.

“I am thrilled to see this funding come into our district,” said Tomlinson. “Over $1.3 million is being invested in our communities through these grants and these projects will provide visible benefits for our community.”

“It is always encouraging to see funding awarded to support the schools and youth organizations that play such a vital role in our community,” said Farry. “I was proud to advocate along with Rep. Tomlinson for these projects that will ensure our young people can participate in more activities in a safe and secure environment.”

The PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71) provides for the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support projects in the public interest within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for these grants through the LSA program.

The funding for the DCED program comes from Act 13 of 2012, which establishes the Marcellus Legacy Fund and allocates funds to the Commonwealth Financing Authority for planning, acquisition, development, rehabilitation and repair of greenways, recreational trails, open space, parks and beautification projects.
